Remember it’s about FUN, COMPETITION and EXERCISE

FINALLY, we’re coming back (again)

YES YES YES. As from Monday the 11th October Dubbo Sports World will be back in action and running the competitions that we have been longing for since August 11th.

Dubbo Sports World is a facility for the Western Community and has been so for many years now, offering a range of recreational and competitive opportunities to that same community without any funding support from National, State or Council bodies and we fully acknowledge the support has always come from the Western Community.

We, the management and staff at Dubbo Sports World, have always strived to, and will continue to strive to ensuring your facility is safe and welcoming, to ensuring your facility caters for participants of all ages, races and genders, to ensuring your facility assists, supports and encourages many competitive players across a number of sports to fulfill their aspirations and through it all we have always had a majority of the community within, that has strived to support a facility that, above all, encourages fun and participation.

The dreaded Covid 19 has certainly placed us under a lot of pressure and I can’t see the roadmap out (as we learn to live with this disease) easing that load for a while yet, but it can come about with your help.

We, the management and staff at Dubbo Sports World, will be asking for the continued support of your facility and your support for the safety of the majority of our community as we endeavour to follow the rules with an emphasis on the safety and enjoyment of that majority.

We will be following the vaccination rules and we assume that the adult participants will accept the RESPONSIBILTY to also follow the rules of COVID19 safety without us having to remind you.

The rules as known to us at this stage are:

* only persons with double vaccinations (or an exemption), will be permitted to enter the facility

* QR Code entry scans and masks are vital for entry (vaccinated supporters are welcome)

* Masks are to be worn whenever you are not participating,

* in our open areas, ie grandstands/spectator areas, we will be operating under the 1 for every 4 sq mtres.-- So on game nights the spectator areas beside the wooden floor courts measures some 120 square meters thus the seating is being limited to 30 spectators, that’s 30 besides crt 1 (eastern side), 30 beside crt 2 (western side). Central area should be kept clear.

The spectator area for the netted crts measures a similar area at the rear of the crts and the seating at the eastern stand , so max of 30 persons in each these areas

DO NOT ARRIVE TOO EARLY FOR YOUR GAME, and, please depart after your game in a timely manner. Game times will be staggered to allow teams time to move in and out again

INFORMATION regarding your competition resumption will be coming from your sport director and will be posted on our facebook page.
